Imola, October 24, 2012 - Formula Imola, the company managing the Enzo e Dino Ferrari International Racetrack in Imola, and DEKRA, a worldwide leading organization specialized in security professional services and automotive, industrial and advanced services consulting, have recently signed a partnership agreement.

The five-year, renewable agreement mainly involves the Racetrack and DEKRA in the realization of a center of excellence for safe driving training, using a modern test track to be achieved at the existing Rivazza paddock, according to the latest techniques used in the international racetracks and with the assistance of professional trainers of the D4S (DEKRAfourS), i.e., the DEKRA Safe Driving School.

In addition to safe driving, the agreement also provides for an institutional support by DEKRA towards the Racetrack, which aims to bring back to Imola some international sporting events and to organize new ones.

Face of the agreement, then, DEKRA has committed to sponsor the Tower at the entrance to the Racetrack, which has already been set up with the colors and corporate logo.

On October 24, a press conference has been held at the Racetrack’s "Gianni Berti" Briefing Room, moderated by the RMC journalist Paolo Ciccarone, to introduce journalists the aim of the partnership. The speakers were Uberto Selvatico Estense, President of Formula Imola, Marco Mauri, Chief Country Officer of DEKRA Italy Holding, with the final farewell of Daniele Manca, Mayor of Imola.

“The agreement with DEKRA is certainly strategic and very important for the Enzo & Dino Ferrari International Racetrack, because it allows us to develop a significant system of synergies thanks to the multi-functionality of the track, its technical and sportive features and also the more strictly commercial aspects. In addition to the DEKRA sponsorship of the Tower, the creation and management in partnership of a pioneering center for safe driving will let the Racetrack to become a reference point on the regional level and, we hope, even national”- said Uberto Selvatico Estense, President of Formula Imola- We’ve planned the effectiveness of the center in early 2013, as soon as the adjusting works in the square of Rivazza Paddock will be finished, with a large number of training days. In this sense, we are already working to develop insurance agreements , expecting to offer our customers discounts on the motor insurance coverage, as already happens for participants in the driving courses recognized by ANIA.

Moreover, within the new course on environmental sustainability embraced by Formula Imola, together with DEKRA, we will try to bring in Imola international motorsport events such as the Formula Electric or the TTXGP World Series, the competition for electric motorcycles, and to bring back in Italy the DTM , German Touring Championship ", he continued.
